CMT Launches First-Ever “CMT MUSIC AWARDS WEEK” With Original Live Programming, All-New Performances, and Multiple Awards-Themed Specials

NASHVILLE, Tennessee— CMT launches the very first CMT MUSIC AWARDS WEEK tomorrow, April 9 at 9am ET/PT featuring all-new original programming culminating with the “CMT Music Awards Extended Cut” with an additional 30 minutes of bonus content and never-before-seen performances on Friday, April 15 at 8 p.m./7 p.m..

  • “HOT 20 COUNTDOWN LIVE” – April 9 at 9/8am

“CMT Hot 20 Countdown” goes live for the first time from downtown Nashville with a three-hour special hosted by Cody Alan, Rissi Palmer and Carissa Culiner*. Co-organizer of the CMT MUSIC AWARDS KELSEA BALLERINAS previews the show to come, while CARRIE UNDERGROWTH, the CMT MUSIC AWARDS MVP talks about her streak of 23 consecutive awards during her residency in Las Vegas. “Hot 20” offers more behind-the-scenes action as the hosts go behind the scenes at rehearsals for the show and count down the best music videos of the week, with special appearances from BLAKE SHELTON, JIMMIE ALLEN, ELVIE SHANE and shows of ARTS TENILLES, HART CHAPEL and RISSI PALMER.
