Grammy nominated artist Sean “Diddy” Combs will take the stage for the 2022 Billboard Music Awards as the host of the evening!
For the music mogul and industry veteran, it marks the 25th anniversary since Combs won his first Billboard Music Award in 1997 for his multi-platinum album. No Exit.
“It will be unlike any awards show – I’m bringing the love and setting the frequency at an all-time high,” Combs said in an official press release. “The Billboard Music Awards truly represent the artists and where music is today, so I’m thrilled to put on the biggest live performances and surprises. The world needs to tune in to see.
In addition to hosting duties, the Bad Boy founder will also take the driver’s seat as the show’s executive producer with plans to reinvent production in ways viewers have never seen before.

The two-time BBMA winner for, Top Rap Song (1997) and Top Rap Artist (1997), last took to the Billboard stage in 2017 when he made a surprise appearance on what would have been The notorious BIG 45th anniversary. The artist helped pay tribute to the late rapper and launched the Can’t Stop, I Won’t Stop: The Bad Boy Story documentary trailer.
Currently working on his highly anticipated seventh studio album, Diddy’s final solo studio album, Press PLAYdebuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart when it was released in 2006.
