Tejano Rising Star Demmi Garcia shares his incredible story of success in the music industry with a chronic illness and keeping Tejano relevant for the next generation and much more in an interview with The AC Cruz Podcast.

Garcia comes from a long line of musical family deeply rooted in Tejano music. The Houston-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist created her own lane in the Tejano music industry with the chart-topping song “Con Tu Amor.”

As a teenager, she was diagnosed with gastroparesis, a condition that affects normal spontaneous muscle movement (motility) in the stomach and digestive tract, but she didn’t let that stop her from pursuing a career in music. Garcia won Most Promising Female Artist of the Year in 2021 Guadalupe Award last November and the future is bright for Tejano’s rising star.
