Megan Thee Stallion Brings the Heat to the Billboard Music Awards, Performs ‘Plan B’ and ‘Sweetest Pie’
On Sunday, May 15, Megan Thee Stallion turned up the heat at the Billboard Music Awards, performing two of her hit songs and winning Best Female Rap Artist.
Dressed in a sultry black bodysuit with lots of skin showing, Meg caught the crowd’s attention and performed a medley of two of her hit songs, “Plan B” and “Sweetest Pie.”
With the award for Best Female Rap Artist, Meg beat out her “WAP” co-star, Cardi B and Latto, among others.
Meg shouted out to her fellow nominees, saying in her acceptance speech, “Everyone in this category is a winner, and I feel like we’ve all worked so hard all year, we’ve worked hard for a long time. And it’s so nice to be appreciated and recognized by your peers and celebrated by your peers and celebrated by your supporters. And that’s all I have to say!
The Billboard performance marks the first time Meg has performed on stage at an awards show since her Oscar appearance.
The awards show on Twitter made sure to notice the rapper, saying she never disappoints.
It’s not all good news these days for Meg, though. She remains embroiled in a lawsuit with Tory Lanez, which stems from an alleged shooting in 2020. Last month, Meg opened up about the event, telling Gayle King on CBS this morning“I was so scared. He [Lanez] is standing above the window shooting… I was really scared because I had never been shot before.
Last month, Lanez was taken back into custody after violating an order to keep his distance from Meg at all times.
Lanez appeared in Los Angeles court on April 5 for the preliminary hearing regarding the July shooting, which allegedly left Meg with gunshot wounds to her feet.
The infraction occurred at the Rolling Loud festival on the Miami stage with DaBaby. Meg was at the festival and Lanez was reportedly within 100 yards of the musician.
