Nia Archives Launches Brazilian-Inspired ‘Baianá’ Radiator | New

Force junglist NewGen Nia Archives shared their new single ‘Baianá’.

The producer was one of the big hits of 2022, recently landing a gong at the AIM Awards in London. His track ‘No Time’ has become a summer sizzler, with Nia Archives bombing it at the Notting Hill Carnival recently.

The new single ‘Baianá’ is out now, and it represents his first solo single since the EP ‘Forbidden feeling‘ in March. High speed shatters abstraction, Nia teases her system culture influences in a new direction, absorbing the impact of Brazilian sounds in the process.

Now the hard-hitting percussive attack pivots against those fantastic choral vocals, resulting in a warming that taps into the waning energies of summer. Nia Archives comments…

“I’ve always been a big fan of Samba Music, Bossa Nova Music and Brazilian culture and I was a Barbatuques fan for a while. When I was going through my samba/bossa playlist and thinking about which songs to sample, “Baianá” was the one that stuck with me. When I started doing it, the original version was quite bouncy, which I wanted to make more challenging… so I flipped it into this crazy break amen roll with a Reese bassline. I feel like this one really showcases my work and my style as a producer.
