Rod Stewart wins Scottish Music Awards 2022 | New

Rod Stewart wowed the crowd at this year’s Specsavers Scottish Music Awards.

The annual celebration aims to celebrate Scottish music, while raising funds for the vital music therapy association Nordoff Robbins. At Glasgow’s famous Barrowlands, one of the country’s most revered concert halls, the evening was a success, raising over £170,000 for charity.

Representations included Heroes of Dundee The View, who are set to play a four-night sold-out run in Glasgow before Christmas. Somewhere else, Highland singer Tamzene delighted the crowd, joined by Rianne Downey, Dylan John Thomas and new wave legends Altered Images.

Winners of the evening also included Lewis Capaldi and Paolo Nutini, who graciously accepted their prizes via video.

A true legend who made time for the Scottish Music Awards was Sir Rod Stewart – still proud of his Scottish rootshe stunned the crowd with a rundown of some stellar favorites.
