The 42nd edition Tejano Music Prize (TMA) will return to a live show this fall after two years of virtual shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Texas Talented Musicians Association (TTMA), producers of the TMAs, announced on Wednesday that “The Biggest Night in Tejano” will take place on Saturday, November 26 at the new Tech Port Center + Arena, San Antonio’s brand new state-of-the-art facility.

President of the TTMA Robert Arellano said, “It will be great for the Tejano music industry and for Tejano fans, for this part of town, and for the tech port.”

This will be the first time the facility located southwest of San Antonio has hosted a major Tejano awards show. This year’s TMAs will feature 15 musical acts from across the country as they return to a live show and once again bring attention to the best in Tejano music.

“The Tejano Music Awards industry hasn’t had this success for many, many years,” Arellano said. “We think this will give the industry a boost.”

Each year, the Tejano Music Awards honor the artistic endeavors and achievements of songwriters, performers and musicians in the Tejano music industry.

Nominations are currently being accepted for this year’s Tejano Music Awards through July 31, 2022. Any musician, manager, label, and artist rep can submit a nomination at
